Almost There
November 15, 2012
Main seams sewn. Check.
Garment tried on, seam ripper taken out, side and back seams taken in for a better fit. Check.
Lining seams sewn. Check.
Zippers inserted. Check. (Plural since both the skirt and the peplum top required their own. And, I know one can insert an invisible zipper with a regular zipper foot, but I have to admit that I can’t imagine getting by without my invisible zipper foot.)
Lining sewn into main garment. Check.
Hem.
Hem…
…
Nope, not yet checked off the list.
Soon, but not tonight.
Why is it that the last step feels like it takes forever?

Love the splash of yellow on the lining. What fabric are you using there?
I actually enjoy hemming a garment, it only takes me forever to mark the hemming line.
Love the lining fabric. Looking forward to the finished project! I’m sure you are as well:)
Love the color contrast …
Ooo, what a happy lining!
I love the sneaky peak of the lining, and the outer fabric has great color and texture.
I agree about hemming! It makes a quick-to-sew project take much longer because I always push off the hemming. It’s just not fun!
It’s gorgeous, Amy!
Great lining! I too love my invisible zipper foot so much that I never want to consider another method.
